I’m currently a Creative Director/CW at The Martin Agency, but let’s go back to the beginning.
I was born and raised in LA, spending most of my formative years with a ball or a book in my hand. Both would come in handy later. I roamed the same halls at Venice High where Sandy fell in love with Danny and the world fell in love with Britney. Then ventured south to college at Long Beach State, where I majored in Journalism, ran the school magazine, and coached baseball at nearby Long Beach Poly, Sports Illustrated’s Sports School of the Century.
My ad journey started at Grupo Gallegos, where I learned from some of the most brilliant Latin American creatives in the U.S., and created a film that won Cannes Young Lions, I then moved to New York to work at AKQA and buy my first winter coat. While at AKQA, I won Young Lions again, helped win new business (Beats, Netflix, Campari), launch the network’s LA office, and learned world class digital and innovation thinking from more brilliant people.
I’ve been fortunate in my career to work on clients like Nike, Beats by Dre, Netflix, Converse, Volvo, YouTube, American Express, and IBM. Now I’m here on the final line without a great ending. I better get back to writing.
